WE BELIEVE IN A COMMUNITY OF CARE

Community Involvement

At Cherry Tree, we believe in the power of community and the importance of giving back.

Through our ongoing commitment to community involvement, we strive to make a meaningful impact beyond our therapy sessions. Our dedication to supporting the well-being of our community extends beyond our clinic walls, and we actively engage in various initiatives and partnerships to promote mental health and overall wellness.

This looks like:

  • collaborating with local organizations, schools, and community centres

  • offering educational workshops, support groups, and outreach programs

  • participating in community events, health fairs, and awareness campaigns

  • intensified efforts during Maternal Mental Health Week/Month including participation in Flora’s Walk

At Cherry Tree, we are deeply committed to creating a community where mental health is valued, understood, and accessible to all. Our ongoing involvement reflects our dedication to making a positive difference in the lives of those we serve, both within our clinic and throughout the broader community.

MATERNAL MENTAL HEALTH MONTH

Maternal Mental Health Month highlights the challenges of motherhood, emphasizing the need for early detection and intervention for mental health disorders like postpartum depression. We aim to destigmatize perinatal mental health and empower mothers through education and support. At Cherry Tree, we're committed to providing compassionate care and resources for mothers facing mental health challenges during their journey into parenthood. Join us in creating a supportive environment where every mother feels valued and supported.

FLORA’S WALK

Flora's journey reflects the challenges many mothers face, especially with perinatal mental health issues. Her story emphasizes the vital need for comprehensive support and increased awareness in maternal mental health. Through initiatives like "Flora's Walk for Perinatal Mental Health," her family honors her memory while advocating for others. Joining forces with the Canadian Perinatal Mental Health Collaborative, we strive to fill gaps in care and raise funds for families like Amber's. Together, let's ensure every mother receives the support and care she deserves.
