Clinical Associate Therapist
We are seeking a REGISTERED PSYCHOTHERAPIST (RP/RP Qualifying) or REGISTERED SOCIAL WORKER with experience or interest in PERIMENOPAUSE AND MENOPAUSE-RELATED CARE to join our collaborative practice. The successful candidate will be available to work IN-PERSON in Dundas/Hamilton, ON, as well as be available for some virtual work.
Cherry Tree Counselling offers compassionate, relational care to women, families, and individuals across our community. Since opening in 2017, we have grown into a connected, feminist, and collective-minded practice grounded in collaboration, creativity, and anti-oppressive care.
We are welcoming a new Associate Therapist to join our team during a meaningful time of growth, including the development of a menopause-focused area of care.
Who You Are
You are a Registered Psychotherapist (RP or RP Qualifying with a primary supervisor) or Registered Social Worker (MSW) who is drawn to relational, client-centred work and values being part of a thoughtful and collaborative clinical community.
You may have experience, or a strong interest in developing skills, in:
supporting women in midlife and major life transitions
couples and/or family therapy
trauma-informed, relational approaches
Interest in menopause-informed care is a requirement. Candidates should be open and committed to pursuing training and building competency in this area.
What This Role Looks Like
Minimum of 10 clinical hours per week, with opportunity to grow to 15–20 hours over time
Flexible schedule with a hybrid model (in-person and virtual)
Some evening and/or weekend availability required
Independent contractor role within a collaborative practice

Requirements
Current registration in good standing with CRPO or the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers
Master’s degree in Social Work, Counselling Psychology, or a related field
Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team
Commitment to ethical, anti-oppressive, and trauma-informed practice
Strong organizational and documentation skills
Assets
Experience or interest in couples and family work
Experience supporting women’s mental health and life transitions
Interest in menopause-informed care
Comfort offering in-person sessions in Dundas
