Dundas Menopause Clinic Soft Launch Signals Growing Need for Integrated Menopause Care in Canada

DUNDAS, ONTARIO — May 1st, 2026 —Cherry Tree Counselling & Psychotherapy Services is proud to announce the soft launch of the Dundas Menopause Clinic, a new, community-based initiative offering integrated therapeutic and medical support for individuals navigating perimenopause and menopause.

The clinic emerges at a time when menopause care is gaining long-overdue national attention. Just days ago, on April 20, the government of Manitoba, led by Premier Wab Kinew, announced the development of a new menopause clinic in Winnipeg, signalling a broader shift toward prioritizing this critical area of healthcare.

“We see this as part of a much larger movement,” says Cree Lambeck, Clinical Director and Owner. “For too long, menopause has been under-recognized, under-resourced, and often misunderstood. It’s encouraging to see provincial leadership acknowledging the need for accessible, specialized care, and we’re proud to be contributing to that momentum here in Ontario.”

A Gap in Care

Menopause impacts millions of Canadians, yet many individuals report feeling unsupported as they navigate complex physical, emotional, and cognitive changes. Symptoms such as anxiety, sleep disruption, mood shifts, and brain fog are often addressed in isolation, if at all.

The Dundas Menopause Clinic was created to offer something different: a space where care is integrated, collaborative, and grounded in the full lived experience of this life stage.

An Integrated Model

The clinic brings together a team of psychotherapists, nurse psychotherapists, social workers, and nurse practitioners, offering

  • Menopause-informed medical assessment and treatment options

  • Mental health and nervous system support

  • Collaborative, client-centred care planning

  • Referrals to trusted community and specialized services

This dual approach allows clients to receive both medical and therapeutic support in one coordinated setting, reducing fragmentation and improving continuity of care.

Supporting the Broader Community

In addition to clinical services, Cherry Tree Counselling has released a Menopause Resource Guide, a curated directory of local, provincial, and national supports. Designed for both individuals and professionals, the guide helps answer a common and pressing question: “Where do I go for support?”

A Call for Continued Investment

The launch also comes with a broader message: menopause care deserves sustained attention, funding, and innovation across Canada. “Efforts like those in Manitoba are an important step forward,” Cree adds. “We hope to see continued investment in services, education, and access, so that no one has to navigate this stage of life without support.”
