Clinical Associate

We are seeking a trained REGISTERED PSYCHOTHERAPIST (RP/RP Qualifying) or REGISTERED SOCIAL WORKER to join our collaborative practice. The successful candidate will be available to work IN-PERSON in Dundas, ON as well as be available for some virtual work.

We are a well-established and thriving psychotherapy and counselling practice. Since 2017, Cherry Tree has provided high-quality general counselling and psychotherapy services for a wide range of issues for clients across Ontario. We hold a special focus on maternal health and women’s wellness.

While the majority of our services cater to women and maternal mental health, we emphasize that one’s identity is their own and aim to provide therapy to anyone who feels we can add value to their therapeutic needs.

The successful candidate will have:

• Masters level education in the field of psychotherapy

• Registered and in good standing with the College of Social Workers, College of Psychotherapists, or College of Psychologists

• Experience in one or more of the following therapeutic areas would be an asset: EFT, EFFT, EMDR, Brainspotting

• Professional liability insurance

• Experience, passion, training, and clinical skill in the areas of perinatal psychotherapy and/or women’s wellness and/or willingness to complete training prior to receiving referrals

• Experience in perinatal grief and loss is an asset

• Experience and skill in treating trauma is essential

• Experience and skill in working with adults 18+

• Experience facilitating groups is an asset

• Family therapy experience is an asset

• Experience working with youth is an asset

• Available to work up to 10 - 20 hours/week

• Evening and weekend availability is an asset

• Must be comfortable working independently and as part of a collaborative team

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability and comfort in delivering virtual services to clients

• Ability to multi-task, pay close attention to detail and complete charting in adherence with College and PHIPA reporting standards.

This is an Independent Contractor position. This position is mostly in - person with some virtual work based on client needs.
