Meet Michelle Stockwell

RN, MHSc, CNP/CPN Nurse Psychotherapist (she/her)

ASSOCIATE THERAPIST

I can help people to maximize their health during stressful times and focus on goals and direction in the present and the future.

Michelle is currently accepting new clients with no wait times and has availability for virtual and in-person sessions at St. Joseph’s Villa in Dundas, Ontario.

My background is in Nursing with broad experience in both mental and physical health.

I am a Masters prepared certified (CNP/CPN) Nurse Psychotherapist. I use an evidence-based, trauma-informed, multi-focused and multifaceted approach to counselling to help you regain health and balance in both an emotional and physical sense. I am also very practical and down to earth with a good sense of humour and lots of patience and experience with people of all ages and problems. I am respectful of all people and their life situations.

My clients are usually people who reach out because they are looking for support for themselves or someone they care about.

They may be in a life transition and feeling overwhelmed and want to discuss their issues to gain some clarity and help with decision-making and coping strategies.

They may have a complicated life situation with either or sometimes both mental and medical/physical health challenges. This may be for them personally or involve a couple or family situation or work or school.

I can help people to maximize their health during stressful times and focus on goals and direction in the present and the future. Personal, family, health and medication management, work and school, grief and isolation are all areas that are a match for my experience and training.

With some support and professional guidance many situations that feel overwhelming and hopeless can be opportunities for a better life balance and wellness.

I work with a broad range of other professionals and can help to navigate additional resources in the health care system.

If you are struggling to connect, feel overwhelmed and alone and want to work towards a more balanced life and move forward towards wellness, emotional clarity, energy and motivation for the future, please consider me as your therapist and guide.
