Meet Selina Buesink, BA, MSc., RCAT

Registered Psychotherapist and Art Therapist, she/her

“Healing doesn’t always need words. Sometimes it needs colour, movement, humour, and a space where you can show up exactly as you are.”

Selina is currently accepting new clients with no wait times for online or in-person (Dundas/Hamilton) and has daytime and some evening availability on Wednesdays and Thursdays.

“There is no one ‘right’ way to experience mental health struggles. Your story is unique, and so is your path to healing.”

Selina offers warm, creative, and trauma‑informed therapy for women, children, and adolescents, both virtually and in person.

She supports clients across a range of concerns, including women’s mental health (perimenopause and menopause), major life transitions, cancer and serious illness, medical trauma, anxiety, grief and loss, identity changes, and adjustment to unexpected life changes.

Imagine a space where your experiences are met with genuine understanding, your strengths are honoured, and you are seen as a whole person, not a diagnosis. That is the environment Selina strives to create: a therapeutic space grounded in compassion, authenticity, creativity, and respect.

Selina knows many people carry stories that mental illness defines them or that they must “fix” themselves to be worthy of support. She is here to walk alongside you as you rewrite that story in your own way.

In sessions with Selina, you can expect:

  • A warm, non‑judgmental presence where your experience is truly seen and heard.

  • A collaborative approach that moves at your pace and honours your preferences.

  • Creative and expressive options (including art) when and if they feel right for you, art is always an option, never a requirement.

  • Support in reconnecting with yourself, recognizing your strengths, and finding approaches to healing and growth that feel meaningful and authentic.

Rachel believes that before strategies and structure, there must be connection. Real healing begins in a space where you feel safe, respected, and understood. She walks alongside her clients with integrity and care, tailoring her approach to your unique needs, pace, and humanity.

If you’ve been carrying things on your own for too long, if you’re not sure where to begin, or if you’re simply ready for a different kind of support, Selina invites you to come as you are.

Selina is currently accepting new clients with no wait times for online or in-person (Dundas/Hamilton) and has daytime and some evening availability on Wednesdays and Thursdays.
