Meet Emily Muizelaar, MSW, RSW
Registered Social Worker, she/her
“I am an easy-going and genuine person who loves meeting new people. I work to create a space where you can feel comfortable, relaxed, and regulated.”
Emily is currently accepting new clients with no wait times for online or in-person (Dundas/Hamilton) and has availability Mondays and Tuesdays from 10am-3pm with some evening availability on Thursdays.
Emily offers brainspotting, perinatal support, and specialized therapies for trauma and neurodivergence, including ADHD for youth 15+, women, as well as couples therapy.
Emily supports clients across a range of concerns, with particular focus on perinatal mental health, grief and loss, trauma, parenting (including parenting neurodivergent children), and neurodivergence. She believes mental health is not a reflection of personal weakness, that mental health concerns are common, and that therapy can and does make a meaningful difference.
“Our sessions will often include laughter. Working together is a fully collaborative relationship where we use curiosity and creativity to guide us towards deeper understanding, reflection and healing.”
In sessions with Emily, you can expect:
A warm, non-judgmental presence where your experience is truly seen and heard.
A collaborative, client-led pace that honours your preferences and goals.
A space that often includes laughter, curiosity, and creativity as part of the healing process.
Support in building self-reflection, self-compassion, and sustainable change.
Emily’s ideal client is anyone who is willing to be self-reflective and open to change.
You don’t need to have it all figured out to reach out. If you’re tired of going it alone or are ready for support that feels different, Emily is here to meet you where you are.
Emily is currently accepting new clients with no wait times for online or in-person (Dundas/Hamilton) and has availability Mondays and Tuesdays from 10am-3pm with some evening availability on Thursdays.
